All about Andy
I grew up in the north west of England and I have always been interested in travel and the outdoors through family camping holidays, the boy scouts and the Air Cadets. In 2001, having just turned 30 years old, I packed up all my belongings, sold my house and moved to Lippstadt in the North Westfalen region of Germany where I still reside.
Since a young age I have always dabbled with photography and in 2005 I bought my first proper digital camera, a Canon EOS 350D, to photograph my growing family. Many years later and following a difficult period in my life, I decided it was time to combine my interest with the outdoors, travel and photography and so I bought a used Fuji XT2 with a 10 to 24mm lens and this really put the fun back into photography.
With inspiration from photographers such as Thomas Heaton, Nigel Danson, Nick Page, Adam Gibbs, Greg Snell and Glyn Dewis, to name a few, I am striving to take my photography from an amateur to a semi-professional level.
I really appreciate you, the reader, taking the time to visit my website and I hope that my photographs inspire you to follow your passion whatever that maybe.
